International Animation Workshop: 80 Years After World War II – Germany, Austria, France
Discover the final cut of the 8 films created in just 15 days!
Context: On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of World War II, students from Piktura (France), Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany), and Universität Graz (Austria) explored the stories and memories of this period within their current realities.
Theme: "The End of Things" — An emotional correspondence about World War II memories, connecting Weimar, Lille, and Graz.
Objective: To encourage reflection on the impact of war today. How can memories shed light on our present and inspire us to imagine a different future?
Format: Over the course of 15 days, students from the three schools gathered in Lille and Weimar for an exchange workshop. They formed mixed teams and created 8 films — a collaborative project where correspondence becomes a bridge between the past, present, and future.
